Father’s Day Weekend

Hi folkies!

Many happy returns to all the Dads out there!

Today we have the completion of our first pillar for this year…50 th Anniversary of the Black

Student Union. I am quite happy with the completion of this composition. And as you look at

the today’s painting and compare it to the sketch done over the winter, you can see the liberties

we took with the original. It was fun to play with the letters and have some of the letters in the

mask come forward.

The gold diamonds are for pictures from fifty years ago to help document the Black Student

Union’s story. The names that you see in the mask are of the composition will have

corresponding pictures of these people in the gold diamonds.

The official paragraph for this pillar still has to be written, but I can tell you that it is a story

you will want to check out.
