May/June ’19 Indoor Work and Passing of the Website Torch

The 2019 Art 291 Mural class really helped with their fair share of indoor pillar work this year. Here some great examples:

  1. Yan Li in this picture is delicately painting the text for what is the lyrics to DePaul’s Victory Song Not bad at all considering she did the lettering upside down. Way to go YAN!

  1. Here’s Henry Harper (on the left), working what will be the 1979 pillar. Yan Li is helping like the other students. They all found ‘catch phrases’ from the time to help with the time capsule feel of the pillar design.

  1. Sydney Baltrusaitis (on the left) and Brittany Garcia is doing some delicate work of DePaul’s coat of arms. They had to do this three more times.

All of the students were a great help in helping to get all four pillars ready to be installed at the end of July.

A special thank you to Jessica Freeman the original creator of this website. Her devotion to this project and The Story of the Little School Under the ‘L’, Under the ‘L’, has been more than admirable. But the demands on her time have crept up on her, and now she has to let go of somethings. This website being one of them. (Sigh!)

But the gracious and capable Carigan women, Erin and Grace, are taking over the running this site. ( HAzzah!) Yes they are twins and they are both into graphic design. So I think all things work out for the best.

Till later,

Buffalo Bro
