2019 Pillar Illustrations!!!

And now Folkies....

I wish to present to you..... the 2019 LSUTL Pillar illustrations!!!!! (Applause light goes on...) 1) The DePaul Victory Song.... You've heard it many times at the various athletic events, but do you know the words? Arthur C. Becker (1st Dean of the School of Music) is featured on this composition. He wrote the music for the song in 1930, but due to DePaul culture...not many know the lyrics. (Yes this is a challenge pillar. I am happy to elaborate. ) 2) 1979 The Magical time which symbolizes the era of DePaul's blossoming into a nationally respected University. A lot physical growth and the basketball team made the Final 4. 3) The Cortelyou-Richardson Pillar.... The eighth and ninth presidents of DePaul, are featured in the this illustration to honor not only the teamwork they displayed for each other, but the quality of change and innovation they fostered at the University from 1964 till 1992. 4) The CTA Pillar.... This is an illustration of the collaboration that goes on between the CTA and DePaul, a salute to that cooperative spirit, that is indispensable for us at DePaul and the rest of the city. I am happy to answer any questions or respond to comments as needed. The same schedule as normal applies to these illustrations as it did for the previous ones. We'll start in the Spring qtr. and near the end of July we'll put them up. And dedicate them in Oct. during Family weekend.
